We set off on our first wildish camping trip to Anglesea. A traditional map in one hand and my book full of places to stay in the other. we were so excited but I have got to say a little nervous, would we still be allowed to stay in the place that I found, what about the toilet situation and also I have heard some stories from old campers about what some people get up to wild camping.
Got to stop for a cheeky photo. Derek looks fine 🚐 and I think it is thumb up from Andy 👍
First stop was Penmon point for a cuppa in the cafe and a little nosy around. To get to Penmon point we had to pay the toll man. Great guy there everyday from early morning till early evening. Can’t quite remember how much it is. Not to expensive though. I have been told that you can stay here over night by many campers. We were going to but there were a few campervans and wanted a good view. But we will be definitely coming back here. Where the toll booth is there is a beautiful little church and dove coup. Great little place.
Can anyone guess where we are???
Andy chilling out after a long drive. Look at that view behind him amazing.
This is the beautiful Lligwy beach by Moelfre. It is a beach car park and you can definitely stay over night for £10 per night which you pay to the cafe. The cafe shuts at about 6 so if you turn up after then you don’t need to pay and opens again about 10 the next day. So if you leave before they open it is a free evening away. And look at that view you couldn’t even get a good camping site this close to the sea side for £10 a night. There are toilets however they do shut when the cafe closes. Not the best loos but they will do. Beach is dog friend which is great for us. Alfie loved running along the beach and making friends.
With the mattress topper we slept so much better just noticing how warm it gets in the roof. So we have to keep the window open a little to let the fresh air coming in.
Breakfast on the go. Can’t beat bacon and egg sandwich with a cuppa. Yes we do have a tv. No we won’t use it all the time it is there for them horrible wet days when sometimes you want to chill in the van at night. Ariel is not the best the to kept losing signal. 😦
We do all so have games to keep us going cards, Rummikub, scrabble and battle ships 🙂
A room with a view. 🙂 🌞
Iv got a thing for panoramic pictures. This was our view from the front of our van. Can beat it really.
Next stop Treaddur bay for a ice cream. One thing we wanted but could seem to find was a fish and chip shop. If you are at the seaside fish and chips is a must. Me and Andy really wanted some so after a quick walk and a splash in the sea. We set on our travels to find a chip shop and where do you think it took us.
To Caernarfon and we park by the castle. The fish and chips were amazing can’t remember the name of the shop but it is just in the town centre. From hear was the depressing drive home. We had so much fun this weekend and dos so much more but I would be here for days if I wrote everything.
